Monday, January 11, 2010 at 7:12AM Whether you are a neat freak or a slob I bet you will learn something new. And I'll even make you a deal...If you DON'T learn at least one new thing, I will re-gift one of my unopened Christmas gifts to you.
Learn how to get oil stains out of clothes, fold a fitted sheet, and get the funk out of those back-of-the-closet items with booze.
Credit for my tips:
#1 - Google. I basically googled the subject found a bunch of tips and merged the two I liked the best to come up with my own.
#2 - A former co-worker Anne who used to be a nurse and is as organized as anyone I know.
#3 - Can't remember but either "Real Simple" mag or from the local watering hole.
Monday, January 4, 2010 at 10:53PM Learn all about why I love/hate the Disney Princesses.
I actually could write a dissertation on the subject but I tried to keep it simple for enterainment value. My early 20's UCSB liberal, feminist, anti-pageant days are now haunting me as I watch my 1 & 3 year olds play with half-clothed princess barbies and apply pretend pink lipstick. I'm not even sure when or where the fascination with Disney Princesses began in my household, especially since we still haven't seen any of the movies (except the beginning of The Little Mermaid), but all I know is that one day we were shopping at Target, and Lily, who was then 2.5, began pulling EVERYTHING off the shelf that had a Disney Princess on it. And if you've been to Target, you know that DP's are not limited to toys and kid's stuff. We're talking pillows, hampers, luggage and even toothpaste for cryin' out loud. So my house is practically wallpapered with pastel gowns and I now walk the fine line with my girls between harmless girlie-girl fun and actually causing permanent damage to their psyche which will undoubtedly lead them towards eating disorders or the pole. And we all know, per the very hilarious Chris Rock (and my friend Sean) that the only goal of a parent is to keep their daughters of the pole.
See my post on January 5th about how you can win tickets to see Disney on Ice.
Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 10:58PM This week's Monday Momsense is another revealing peek into my personal life as I share some Health & Beauty Tips regarding bruising, canker sores and cleavage. I mention that they are specically for the Holidays but truthfully they work ALL year round. Enjoy!
Please note: In compliance with the new FTC disclosure policy regarding blogs promoting products, I want to mention that the opinions expressed in the video are mine and are truthful based on my experience. No amount of money or gifts were received on my part in exchange for this most educational vlog. I think the check must have gotten lost in the mail (wink, wink). Also, I am by no means a doctor or an expert. My tips are based on years of experience as a little girl who used to chant "I must, I must, I must increase my bust", a partier student at UCSB, a frequenter of karaoke bars in the mid 90's and as a mom of 2 little kiddos.

Monday, June 1, 2009 at 8:00AM Yes, mamahood has changed me in a variety of ways, namely, a perpetual state of sleep deprivation, a constant struggle to retrieve my old spontaneous self, and the mushy ring around my mid-section. But in this week's momsense, I dive a little deeper into ways I have changed.
How has being a mom (or a dad) changed you?

I recommend watching it twice so you can watch Lexi's face throughout - her expressions are priceless!
